How to Pastel Paint Flowers

Author Talk and Book Signing

Come hear author J.T. Carruthers talk about her book The 39-Mile Path of Destruction which features photos and commentary of the destruction of the tornado that struck Western and Central Massachusetts on June 1, 2011. Books will be available for sale.

Helping Children Manage Trauma - a workshop for parents

We're hosting this workshop in collaboration with the Collaborative for Educational Services as part of their local workshop series. The Puzzle of Parenting workshop series is designed for parents, grandparents and guardians of children from birth to kindergarten age. Local parents helped select the topics. Edible Perennial Gardening and Landscaping
Tuesday, April 10 from 6 pm until 7:45 pm
A free 90-minute powerpoint presentation by naturalist John Root featuring a variety of trees, shrubs, vines, canes and herbaceous perennials that can be grown for produce in our region. Questions and comments are welcome throughout the presentation. Handouts with a list of edible perennial plant species, resources for further study, and recommended sources of seeds and plants are distributed at the conclusion of the program. This program is made possible by a grant from the Monson Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

Backyard Chickens at the Library
Tuesday, May 22 from 6 - 7:45 pm
Come and learn the basics of raising feathered friends in your backyard including: feeding, housing, behavior and more. Bring your questions, come see the samples of feed and meet the girls! Presented by the Pioneer Valley Backyard Chicken Association. This program was sponsored by the Norcross Wildlife Foundation, Inc.
